April Audia is a New York-born, Los Angeles-based actor, writer, director, and all-around storyteller. A member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, April began her career as an actor after earning her conservatory theatre degree from LACC Theatre Academy. Since then, she has built an extensive body of work across theatre, television, and film.

April has performed in more than seventy theatrical productions from Los Angeles to New York City and has appeared in projects on Netflix, Roku, Lifetime, NBC, CBS, FOX, and numerous other networks and platforms. Over the years, her passion for storytelling has evolved beyond performing to include creating, writing, directing, and producing her own work.

That evolution began with her award-winning short-form series, Long Island South Shore, which April co-wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. The series ran for two seasons, received distribution through Seeka TV, and earned international festival recognition across multiple categories. April was honored with Best Actor at LA Webfest, Best Director at New Jersey Webfest, and Best Writer at New Zealand Webfest.

April continued expanding her voice as a writer for the stage with her solo show, The Lies I Tell Myself, which premiered in Los Angeles and continues to be workshopped. She is also developing her newest solo piece, Covid, My Mother, A Dragon and Me. The story began as a seed in Jennifer Esposito’s “I’m Sorry Monologues” writing class and has since grown into a full-length solo show.

During her time at the Artist Residency Château Orquevaux in France, April continued developing After All, a deeply human story about understanding, compassion, and forgiveness. The play went on to win Best Drama at the Short & Sweet Festival, where it was also voted “Audience Favorite” every week throughout its run. After All is currently being developed as a feature film.

April furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She also contributed her perspective and personal journey as a filmmaker to the award-winning documentary Push by Caris Vujec, which explores female filmmakers and the challenges they face as they continue to push for their voices to be seen and heard within the industry.

For April, storytelling is more than a career—it is a way of connecting with humanity. Whether she is acting, writing, directing, or producing, her driving desire is to communicate something meaningful and create a genuine connection with an audience. She believes that storytelling is one of the most powerful forms of human connection, and that it will always stand the test of time.
